The Lab Report
13-09-2019
Hi everyone,
Time for another Lab Report, a bumper edition covering Emperor Tomato Ketchup, Dots and Loops, and Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night.
Elektra remained supportive, releasing our 3rd, 4th, and 5th albums while we continued to self-release in the UK via Duophonic UHF Disks.
Recording Emperor Tomato Ketchup
Recordings of eight tracks took place at Blackwing Studios with Paul Tipler engineering and co-producing. We then flew to the US to play one of the Summerstage shows in Central Park (July 22nd: Stereolab and John Cale and the Soldier String Quartet) before heading to Chicago to record four tracks with John McEntire at Idful Music Corp.

Promotional and Archival Material
Here are some snapshots from the archives, including original studio notes, tape reels, promotional stickers, and tour documents.
