Hey friends,

Here are the mail-order merchandise details that many of you have been asking for. But first, we have a small announcement - Sheila (our sole Duophonic employee) is leaving us next week. She’s been offered some TV work in the USA. I hope you’ll join us in wishing her well and the best of luck in her new job. This Lab Report contains the final shoots that Sheila conceptualised and starred in. Good luck, Sheila.

Some of you may have seen items for our new merchandise range via social media, or perhaps picked up a few items on our recent EU tour. Well, now we’re ready to make them available via mail order. Stock will ship from the UK or US warehouse.




First up, we have the ever-popular Stereolab Colouring Set - the set contains 1 x 16 pages of your fave group's album designs, each ready for you to colour in with your own set of Stereolab colouring pencils. Each pencil is embossed with a song title from Instant Holograms On Metal Film. But what happens if your overzealous colouring blunts a pencil? Well, we’ve also included a Stereolab pencil sharpener in the set. Plus, we’ve made the International Colouring Contest a reality. One of the pages in the colouring book is blank - design an album cover, give it a title and send it to us via a QR code. We’ll send the lucky winner an exclusive prize.
Do any of you use shopping trolleys (carts) that require a coin to unchain them? Do you also have keys? Why not try the Stereolab key ring with a detachable trolley token? The token is made from recycled refrigerators and printed with Instant Holograms On Metal Film artwork.
Next up is the expanded Stereolab Homewares range. A selection of usable everyday items emblazoned with Stereolab branding…


Biscuit Cutters - Make up a batch of your favourite biscuit dough, roll it out and then start cutting with your biscuit cutter. Each doughed item will be cut into 4" sized disks and imprinted with ‘Stereolab’.

The cutters can also be used to cut pastry or make cookies.
Enamel mugs - back in a new range of colours and a new logo. Our mugs can handle cold or hot drinks - perfect for dunking your recently baked Stereolab biscuits into.

Feedback from previous purchasers indicates that the mugs can also handle soup. Some people have used them as desk tidies and for potting cacti or succulents.
Tea Towels - A new and improved tea towel. Our first attempt a few years ago was rather basic; this one is superior in every way.

Stereolab Ice Disk Tray - Turn the hot coffee in your Stereolab mug into an instant iced coffee by adding one or two Stereolab ice disks.

Our ice disk tray has eight ‘ice pockets’, each with a Stereolab logo in the bottom.
A ceramic egg cup - The perfect gift for all Stereolab egg lovers. Our egg cup adequately holds one regular boiled egg or a non-boiled chocolate one.

For anyone who isn’t keen on eggs, our ceramic vessel can quickly become a shot glass or a sake cup.
The Stereolab drinks tray - here’s the return of an absolute favourite. Our first run of trays sold out super quickly, so we’ve listened to customer demands and produced another run.

The 2025 version is still an all-steel construction with a non-slip coating, but it’s now available in two of this year's most popular colours - green and orange.
The Stereolab Apron - the question that constantly fills the Stereolab/Duophonic inbox is “When will you make something that I can wear whilst baking that also has somewhere to put my wooden spoon”.

We put this question to our R&D folks over in the Duophonic ‘Dream Corner’ and they came up with the perfect product - the Stereolab Apron.

100% Fairtrade cotton drill with an adjustable neck fastening, a generous front pocket that can handle numerous spoons and cut to a very fashionable knee length.
All of these items are available to pre-order now, along with our current range of Stereolab T-shirts. Shipping of the Homewares Range will begin on September 12th. 
Now, a word about stock. Some of the Homewares Range items were tricky to source and make, and had minimum manufacturing quantities that may mean we only make one batch. To give you an idea, we made: 698 egg cups, 500 aprons, 1000 trays, 1000 key rings, 1000 ice disk trays, 1000 biscuit cutters, 1000 colouring sets.

And finally, touring - due to limited space in our trailer and the uncertainty around import taxes, we can only carry so much merchandise. While I plan to sell the majority of the Homewares Range on tour, there will be limited quantities each night.

Along with our equipment, we also have to carry boxes of T-shirts, meaning that we won’t have space for all of our back catalogue - we're trying to work on a solution and hope to have details in the next Lab Report.

Unfortunately, due to the band having to fly into our shows in São Paulo, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, it’s unlikely that we’ll have merchandise for sale at these shows.

Before I sign off, the group and I would like to thank everyone who has bought tickets for our remaining tour dates, the majority of which have now sold out. Here’s a reminder of our shows, including support acts.
